OKANAGAN STREETSTOCK RULES:
All drivers and one crew member per car must purchase a NASCAR license to compete. A car will be allowed to compete at one race per year without purchasing a Club Membership, but must purchase a Club Membership for $100.00 to compete in more than one race per year. The car owner/ driver will be paid according to the finishing payout schedule for that night.
The rules set forth herein are designed to provide fair parameters for competition and a high level of safety. NO expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from publications of or compliance with these rules and regulations, they are intended as a guide for the conduct of sport and are no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official. Driver/ car owner is legally responsible for all crew signed in under car.
It is the Driver/ Car owners' responsibility to ensure his or her car is legal, if there is a question about the rules email or phone tech committee before you show up, non conforming cars will not be allowed to run except for minor variations. Tires and Safety rules are only subjected to review by Tech only.
Chassis:
- Any North American built, stock production passenger car, or pick-up truck. No station wagons, convertibles, or Corvettes. 1982 and newer Camaros or Firebirds not permitted.
- 70-81 Camaro and Firebird allowed with stock front clip, unibody and rear suspension and body complete only.
- No four wheel drive cars permitted.
- No four wheel independent suspensions permitted.
- No excessive rear movement of the stock body permitted. Only a max. of 1" from the stock body mounts tolerated.
- Any steel body may be run over any chassis of same make. No distortion of the body is permitted to fit the chassis. Only the movement of the wheel openings may be moved to fit the wheel base of the chassis being used.
- Any stock appearing nose and tail pieces allowed.
- Bodies must be complete and remain stock appearing. Any damaged panels must be replaced before the next race day. 22ga. sheet metal may be used for repairs, no aluminum.
- After market steel body panels allowed.
- All hoods must be hinged at the rear.
- Hood must have a min. of two but four hood pins recommended in the front to hold it down.
- Holes around hood pins must not exceed 5/8". Straps connecting pins to the hood or body recommended. Hoods can not be bolted shut.
- Rear trunk lid hinges mandatory. Trunk lid must use hood pins to hold down, no bolts. Straps connecting pins to trunk lid or body recommended.
- All cars must have front and rear bumpers. Bumpers must be strapped to fenders on all four corners to prevent hooking.
- Wheel wells may be radiused for tire clearance. Fender well edges must be rolled under, not out. No sharp edges.
- All doors must be welded or bolted shut.
- Rear spoilers allowed. Spoiler can not be more than 6" high. Must be bolted to the trunk lid and can not extend beyond the width of the fender. No sides, no Gurney lips. No roof wings.
- The interior of the car must be stripped of all flammable material. All sharp objects must be removed or folded over
- Stock sized rear view mirror and a left side mirror that doesn't exceed body line allowed. No wink mirrors allowed.
- Gas pedal may be modified or aftermarket.Toe hook recommened. Cable linkage for throttle not optional.
- Driver's compartment must be sealed off with minimum 22 ga. sheet metal, no aluminum.
- Stock front firewall and floor must be retained to behind driver. Behind driver may be removed and tinned over with a min. 22 ga. sheet metal. No Aluminum.
- All glass must be removed. Lexan front windshield mandatory. Rear and ¼ windows optional, Lexan only.
- Pick-up trucks must have lexan rear window or tin cover over truck box.

Wheel Base:
- Cars must be a min. of 108" wheel base. Frames over 108" wheel base may only be shortened in the straight, middle section to achieve 108" wheel base.
- Reinforcing the frame, such as boxing or adding an "X" brace is recommended.
- Fords may run a min. 104" wheel base on the 1984 to 1987 T-Birds and Cougars only. Must retain the original suspension that came with that car.No newer Mustangs permitted.
- All unibody cars must have sub frames tied together with an "X" brace. Sub frame connectors mounted length wise not allowed
- Wheel base must be within 1 inch variation right to left side.
- Must have a chain or eye front and back of car for lift and towing.

Engines:
- The engine must be the same manufacturer as the frame and body (GM frame, GM body, GM engine, etc.).
- The engine must be in the stock forward location. Engine must be in the centerline of the car.
- GM engines must use the stock upper engine mount. May weld lower mount to replace rubber bushing. The lower engine mounts must bolt to the frame, not welded.
- Ford and Chrysler engines can use aftermarket or fabricated upper mounts.Subject to tech.
- NO ALTERATIONS TO THE FRAME IS PERMITTED FOR FUEL PUMP OR EXHAUST MANIFOLD CLEARENCE.
- Small block engines only maximum engine size GM- 350, Ford 351, Chrysler 360 plus max. .060" overbore permitted.
- Stock distributor and stock design ignition parts only.
- 2bbl. carb only. Allowed. max. 500 cfm. Choke assembly can be removed but, choke horn stays.
- GM engines must run Rochester carbs.
- Ford engines must run Autolite carbs.
- Chrysler engines must run Chrysler Holley carbs.
- Stock style mechanical water pumps only. No electric water pumps permitted.
- NO antifreeze allowed in coolant.
- Any 2bbl. stock car or truck cast iron OEM intake manifold permitted.
- No Aftermarket intake manifolds permitted. No porting or polishing.
- Max. 1" spacer between carb and intake manifold.
- Two throttle return springs mandatory. Fuel filters must be steel, no plastic or glass allowed.
- Air cleaner mandatory. Any size filter. Must fit under the hood with no alterations to the hood permitted. No ram tubes or ducting allowed.
- Sportsman style cowl induction system allowed. No hood scoops permitted.
- GM engines- Cast iron open chamber heads only (70-76cc). Max. 1.94" intake valve and 1.50" exhaust. No angle plug, Bow-tie, Vortec, "Camel Bump" heads. Closed chambered heads not Specifically ruled out will be "grandfather" allowed for the 2007 and 2008 race seasons only with a 50 lb weight penalty- 3250 lbs min. weight with driver in car.
- Ford engines- Stock Cast iron heads only. No 4bbl. Cleveland or GT-40 heads.
- Chrysler engines- Stock cast iron heads, No W-2 heads.
- After market heads with these part #s permitted only: (can be purchased from Lordco) GM- WORLD Products S/R-043600 (must be 76cc, 1.94" intake valve only) Ford- World Products Windsor J/R 053030 (1.94" intake valve only)
- All heads must use stock diameter valve springs with no alterations to the spring pocket.
- No modifications to heads allowed. No porting or polishing allowed. No angle milling. No port matching. Valve seat blending permitted 3/4" into port.
- Screw in studs and guide plates are allowed.
- Stock style steel rockers only. Fords may run Chev rockers.
- No roller rockers or roller tipped rockers permitted.
- No roller lifters allowed
- No stud girdles allowed.
- Any hydraulic or solid lifter camshaft allowed. No mushroom or roller cams permitted.
- Flat top pistons only.
- Stock dimension short block parts only.
- Any wet sump oil pan allowed that does not sit lower than the cross member.
- After market vibration damper and pulleys allowed.
- Stock production cast iron exhaust manifolds only. No Corvette 2.5" center dump manifolds permitted.
- All cars must have mufflers. No car shall exceed 95 dba noise level.
- Exhaust must have minimum 24 inches of 2 inch diameter exhaust pipe, the exhaust must exit past The driver. Exhaust can not run through drivers compartment unless boxed with 20 ga. min steel and sealed from driver. Exhaust must be visible to tech.
- All cars must have working starters, no push starting.
- Radiator must mount in front of the engine. Aluminum radiators allowed.
- Radiator must have a min. 1 gallon overflow catch can.
- Electric fans permitted. Fan must have an ON/OFF switch and be fused.

Suspension:
- Front and rear suspension must mount in the stock locations with no alterations. No Camaro/Firebird front clips allowed on any other car except total stock unibody, rear suspension and body Camaro or Firebird
- No aluminum suspension or steering components permitted.
- The upper control arm shaft called "The Problem Solver" is allowed.
- Upper control arm mounts can not be moved to gain camber.
- Rear trailing arms or mounts may not be altered.
- No Panhard bars unless your chassis came stock with it.
- Panhard bars may not be adjustable and must only mount with the stock bushings.
- All cars must have a skid plate under the right front control arm. This plate must be lower than the brake rotor.
- Steel control arm and trailing arm bushings permitted. Trailing arms may have bottoms boxed for reinforcement.
- One shock per wheel, mounted in the stock location. Racing shocks permitted. No aluminum shocks permitted.
- Racing springs may be used.
- Spring spacers allowed but no metal wedges in springs.
- Lowering blocks allowed on leaf springs. Rear leaf spring sliders permitted. Leaf springs must mount the original way they came from the factory.
- A minimum 6" ride height on the left side frame rail or doorsills on unibody cars. Measurement taken with the driver in the car.
- Stock tie rods only. No mono ball joints. No hiem ends. All steering components must be OEM type. No Howe replacement steering components. No alterations to the steering mounting points.
- A bigger or heavy duty type steering box may be used if it bolts to the stock location.
- After market fabricated steering column recommended.
- Bigger front spindles allowed but MUST BE OEM. No aftermarket spindles allowed. No OEM drop spindles permitted.
- Sway bars must be OEM and must mount in the stock location. Front sway bar can only be adjustable at the control arm mounting point.
- Car must weigh NO LESS THAN 3200 LBS. at any time, with driver.
- Lead ballast must be bolted to the frame or cage with two ½" bolts and lock nuts. All ballast must be painted white with your number painted in black. All ballast must be visible to tech. inspector.
- Weight allowance 55% Left side max., 47% Rear max., with driver.

Tires/Wheels:
- Must use a heavy duty racing type wheel. No Stock rims permitted.
- Wheels can not exceed 8" in width.
- No aluminum rims.
- Must have min. 5/8" wheel studs on all wheels. Studs with threads must protrude through the nut.
- Wheel weights must be stick on type, installed on the inside of the rim, with tape over them. No hammer on wheel weights allowed.
- The tire and rim shall not extend more than 4" outside the body.
- Max. 2" wheel offset.
- AMERICAN RACER: RCPG60 only. There are two different sizes available for left and right side (Tire Stagger).
- Tire Purchase:
- 8 Tires prior to start of season.
- 2 Tires per race day per car.
- Tire will be available the 3rd week of April

Drive Line:
- Drive shaft must have two U-shaped retaining brackets installed, one 12" from the front of the drive shaft and the second 12" from the rear of the driveshaft.
- Drive shaft must be painted white with car number on it.
- No aluminum drive shafts permitted.
[Back to Top] Roll Cage:
- A four point, full perimeter cage is mandatory. No offset cages permitted. It must be constructed of 1¾" x .095 steel tubing and be electrically welded.
- There must be four door bars on the driver's side and three on the passenger side.
- The roof bar can not be more than 6" from the out side of the roof on the passenger side.
- Rear upright must be cross braced.
- Front window bars can not be more than 6" back from the roof post.
- Front uprights must be connected by a dashboard bar.
- All cars must have an "Earnhardt Bar" in the center of the windshield area of the front roll cage. Must be made of either one 1½" tube or two 1" bars 6"-12" apart.
- All cages will have an ankle bar on the left side.
- All roll cage bars within reach of the driver must be padded.
- All cars will have a safety approved aluminum racing seat mounted securely to the roll cage. Must be bolted down with a min. of six, 3/8" bolts with big washers and lock nuts. All seats will have headrests. No fiberglass seats permitted.
- No rub bars mounted outside the body.
[Back to Top] Fuel Cell:
- The use of a commercially manufactured fuel cell is mandatory. The max. capacity is 22 US gallons. Must be contained in a container of not less than 22 ga. steel.
- Pump Gas only no racing fuels . With no additives.
- It is recommended all fuel cells be 22 gallon capacity.
- Overflow check valve is required.
- No material other than the standard foam supplied by a fuel cell manufacturer is permitted. No plastic tanks allowed.
- Fuel cell must be mounted between the frame rails and as far forward as practical. Must be securely mounted with a min. of two 1½" wide straps bolting it down. Any fuel cell over eight gallons must mount inside a cage constructed of min. 1" square tube (NASCAR type). Must have a min. of two 1½" wide straps bolting it in.
- Fuel cell must have a min. 8" ground clearance.
- All cars must have a nerf bar welded to the rear frame behind the fuel cell. The nerf bar must be at least the width of the fuel cell and extend up to the frame or a cross member on the sides. The nerf bar must hang at least two inches below the level of the bottom of the fuel cell. This bar must be constructed of a min. of 1¼" round or square tubing.

- Any OEM manual or automatic transmission.
- Must have working reverse gear.
- Automatic transmission must have a steel, working torque converter.
- Torque converter must mount to an OEM, steel flex plate with no alterations.
- Automatic trans. must have an overflow "puke tube" from the dip stick tube to a min. 1 gallon overflow tank. Must mount on the firewall near the dipstick tube.
- All transmission coolers must be mounted either ahead of the front firewall in the engine compartment or behind the rear firewall. No coolers permitted inside the driver's compartment.
- All transmission lines must have either screw on fittings or double clamped over flared ends.
- All cars with manual trans. must have a ¼" steel scatter shield top 180 degrees.
- All bell housings must have an inspection hole, a minimum of 1¾" in size on the lower passenger side of the bell housing, or be open at the bottom for clutch and flywheel inspection.
- Stock OEM type, single disc clutch and pressure plates with a min. 10" diameter.
- No aluminum flywheels permitted. Stock OEM, steel flywheels only.
- No aftermarket flywheels permitted.

- Ford 9 inch rear ends may be installed in any make of car.
- Rear end must be centered in the car and installation will be to the satisfaction of the tech. inspector.
- Locked rear ends permitted.
- No Detroit Lockers permitted.
- No traction control devices of any kind permitted.
Brakes:
- All cars must have stock OEM brakes in good working condition on all four wheels.
- Lightening of backing plates, brake drums, discs, shoes or calipers by cutting, trimming or grinding metal is not permitted.
- No rear disc brakes permitted
- Must use stock OEM type brake components only.
- Hi-performance, racing stock type brake pads permitted.
- You may use stock type OEM bigger spindles with bigger brakes.
- No aftermarket spindles permitted. No drop spindles permitted.
- Ducting to the front brakes is ok.
- No brake bias adjusters permitted.
- Stock OEM type master cylinders and brake pedals only. No aftermarket brake pedal assemblies permitted.

Lettering and Appearance:
- Numbers required minimum 18 inch x 3 inch stroke on both doors and roof. Must have 5 inch high on front and rear of car.
- Cars must be neatly painted with all exterior body panels. A damaged car if it is safe to continue will only be allowed to finish that race date. The car must be repaired before coming back to the track another race date.

Safety:
- Drivers must wear an approved NOMEX or PROBAN driving suit and gloves at all times when the car is on the race track. It is strongly recommended the suit be at least two layers thick. Driver suit must cover the entire body. It is strongly recommended the driver wear NOMEX underwear, socks, headgear and shoes made of fire resistant material. It is strongly recommended the driver wear some form of eye protection when on the race track. This can be either bubble or ski type goggles or a face shield.
- All drivers must wear an approved oval track helmet with a "SNELL 85" rating. It must be visible to the tech. inspector. No motocross or motorcycle helmets allowed.
- All cars must be equipped with a five or six point racing seatbelt harness, bolted to the cage with min. 3/8" bolts and lock nuts. Seat belts must be no more than five years old (2003 or newer) and be in good condition. Must be clean and have production date tag clearly visible to tech. inspector. If this tag is not attached to the seat belts, you don't race. Shoulder harness must pull back at a max. 10 to 15 degree downhill angle.
- All cars will be equipped with an approved window net secured at the bottom. The release at the top of the net must be within reach of the driver and the tech. inspector.
- All cars must have an aluminum racing seat with rib protection. Seat must bolt to the roll cage with a min. of six 3/8" bolts with big washers and lock nuts. All seats must have head rest.
- Batteries must be securely mounted to the frame or cage, not the floor. If mounted in the driver's compartment it must be sealed inside a battery box.
- All cars must run a quick disconnect switch within reach of the driver. Switch must be painted red and clearly marked ON/OFF.
- No glass windshields. Lexan only. Must be held in by either two straps or six tabs. No Plexi-glass.
- All cars must have a min. 2½ lb. fire extinguisher within reach of the driver. Must mount with a steel bracket, no plastic. On board fire system recommended.
- Optional. Radio's allowed. Pit to driver communication allowed but no driver to pit communication allowed. Ear piece set only and must conform with tech.
