Running Rules

ABSOLUTELY NO ONE is allowed on the track until the following conditions are met:

  • First Aid in attendance,
  • Fire equipment must be on hand and ready to use.
  • Tow truck and driver must be ready.
  • Flagman in charge of track traffic.
  • Permission from pits granted.
  • Helmets, goggles and gloves must be worn.
  • Cars must have been safety checked and passed as listed in rule book.
  1. Any cars with oil problems will see the black thrown. If you have an oil problem you will go to the back of the pack once the problem has been fixed. If you have no oil problem, you will remain in the position you were in before the yellow was thrown.

  2. Cars will get one or two timed lap. If a car spins out, stops, or pulls into the pits, he may only return to the track at the discreession if the pit boss.

  3. Any car spinning out in the first lap will result in a restart. Only one restart per race. Second restart will be single file.

  4. In the event of a stoppage during a race, cars will line up in a single file on backstretch according to the last completed lap shown on the lap sheets. Cars involved in an accident or a spinout shall start at the rear.

  5. No race will be stopped because of an accident unless the officials deem it necessary.

  6. Yellow flag laps shall be considered as counting laps.

  7. Any car stopping due to mishap and not driven immediately to starting position shall be considered as involved in an accident. Starter's decision is final.

  8. Intentional running in the infield, if repeated, will result in disqualification from the event. Event to mean one single race, not the day's event.

  9. Intentional bumping and swerving will result in disqualification from the event. The Flagman and Pit Boss together may suspend any given driver for a serious driving infraction. Severity of infraction to dictate action taken.

  10. Intentional chopping or blocking will result in disqualification from the event.

  11. Permission must be granted by Pit Boss and/or Starter before any practise at intermission.

  12. Points are awarded to the car number that is registered at the pit gate for the day's event. There will be no interchanging of numbers during the day's program.

  13. Protest must be on Protest Forms and submitted to the Pit Boss. Engine protests require a $300.00 CASH fee to be submitted with the form. All other protests are free. Protests are only valid if they are made during the day's events, or within a half hour after completion of the day's program. Any competing driver may protest any other car once per race day, and specify any 2 items. The $300.00 Protest Fee is to be forfeited to protested driver if the car is found to be legal. The $300.00 fee will be returned to the protester if the car is found to be illegal. Only drivers who have competed in the day's events may protest. The Executive will designate tear down personnel. (Protest Forms are available from the board of directors only.)

  14. PROTESTS: On being found guilty of running illegal the offending car will lose all points and monies for that day. On being found guilty of a second offence at any future race during the season, the offending car will lose all points gained at that point in the season, plus any monies and points earned that day, and may be suspended. Any future offenses will be dealt with as above, and suspended.

  15. No cars are to be removed from raceway grounds for 30 minutes after the completion of the day's events. Any car leaving the track will lose its points for the day.

  16. A car's timed position will determine that car's starting position for the dash the heat and the main event.

  17. Cars not timed in will start at the rear.

  18. MAIN EVENTS ONLY: Starters can change starting position for any reason deemed necessary. Decisions are final and not to be disputed. Rookies, (meaning any person who has not oval raced in that class before), must start at the rear for the first 3 race meets at the discretion of the pit boss.

  19. It is the responsibility of the car owner to be legal prior to showing up. All cars must be deemed legal by Techman before the day's events. Techman's decision can only be appealed and possibly over-ruled by official protest to the Board of Directors. Tech area to be roped off - the only persons to be in the tech area are the Techman, the driver of the car being teched and one pitman for this car. Anyone interfering with the Techman will be fined $25.00 for a first offense. Second offense will result in suspension.The Techman has the right to tear down a car at any time at the racers expense. If you choose to ignore this ruling from the Techman on a tear down you will forfit your points todate(SEASON) and possibly given a suspension. Length of suspension to be determined by Board of Directors Laps will be counted for all races, including Powder Puff and Mechanic's races. To qualify for a Mechanics or Powder Puff race, you must not have raced competitively in a regular race event for one full season. Cars which miss Green flag may enter the race on a restart, but they must start at the rear. Any car that breaks the track record is subject to inspection. If any car ignores the Black flag for 3 laps, the race will be stopped so as to remove the offending car. The driver will be deducted points . Driver must qualify his own race car. Apon failing to do so he/she will start at the rear of the field. Club Designated muffler systems are mandatory for Street Stock class. EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2004 - ALL CARS MUST RUN MUFFLERS - 94 dec. - type will be determined Any weight added must be securely bolted and have the car number painted on each piece. Lost weights will result in a fine - $50.00 for each lost piece. Any car involved in an accident must be checked by the safety committee or Pit Boss before it will be allowed to run in the following race event. All accident damage MUST be repaired before next race meet. (fenders, hoods, etc.) ALL CLASSES. No advancing your position below the white line that is around the track. This is there for safety reasons.

    Water cans MUST be painted BLUE.
    Gas cans MUST be painted RED.

  20. Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher MANDATORY, 5 lbs in the pit area for each pit stall/crew and 2 lbs in the race car. Must be securely mounted within drivers reach.
